On Sunday, August 11, 2024, at approximately 7:14 PM, a collision occurred on the L533 near Waldsee. The incident, which involved two vehicles, was handled by the Ludwigshafen Police Directorate, led at the time by Police Director Marco Weißgerber.

The collision involved a 65-year-old driver, who was attempting to merge onto the L533 from Naturfreundehaus Neuhofen, and a 28-year-old driver approaching from the left. Unfortunately, both vehicles were rendered undrivable as a result of the collision.

The 65-year-old driver's vehicle carried a 63-year-old passenger, who sustained a pelvic fracture. Both drivers also complained of whole-body pain. The injured parties were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

The L533 was fully closed for two hours due to the accident.
